Never saw an orange garnet before. They were melted into a silver ring with a ruby in the center. Always liked garnets more than rubies and not just because it's my birthstone. The deepness of the red mattered. Rubies looked like the rings dentists used to hand out. Do dentists still give rings away to children? What did boys get?
